Job summary

Citi London is hiring an experienced software engineer to advance the Fixed Income Algo trading platform. You will design high-performance components, collaborate with Traders, Quants and Product Managers, and ensure reliability and scalability of core algorithms.

You will work with eTrading teams and Production Support, upholding stringent engineering standards while contributing to cutting-edge technology and career growth opportunities in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on coding experience in Java, focusing on low-latency, high-throughput distributed apps.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, OOP and algorithms complexity.
• Experience with messaging systems (Solace, Kafka).
• Familiarity with Chronicle and/or Aeron.
• Experience with distributed caching techniques.
• Proven track record with market data and trading applications.
• Experience building back-testing frameworks and handling historical data.
• Basic Linux performance tuning and troubleshooting in Java/Linux stack.
• Proficiency with Gradle, Git, TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reusable algo trading platform components with a focus on performance and low latency.
• Collaborate with Traders, Quants, Product Managers to translate requirements into enhancements.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of core algorithmic components.
• Work with wider eTrading teams and Production Support to maintain live trading systems.
• Follow engineering standards and continuously improve solutions.
