Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technically versatile support professional to act as the first line for business users building their own applications. You will review configurations, advise on architecture and tooling, and help resolve issues without creating delivery bottlenecks.

You will diagnose and debug across bespoke applications and business-built tools, ensuring all apps meet security, resiliency and data handling standards under the Business Systems Owner's guardrails.

Qualifications

• Hands-on generalist skilled in M365, Power Platform and SaaS administration.
• Experience supporting business-built, low-code applications in a corporate setting.
• Able to review, edit and interpret code/config written by others, including AI-assisted output.
• Strong documentation discipline and clear communication with non-technical users.
• Debugging mindset—digging into logs, code and integrations to isolate root causes.
• Comfortable working within defined frameworks and raising concerns when constraints hinder work.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of technical support for business users building their own applications, reviewing configurations, advising on architecture and tooling choices, and helping resolve issues without delivery bottlenecks.
• Carry out diagnostic and debugging activities across bespoke applications and business-built tools when complexity exceeds what business users can resolve themselves.
• Ensure all business-built applications meet organisational standards for security, resiliency, supportability and data handling within guardrails defined by the Business Systems Owner.
• Register every business-built application in the systems catalogue with documentation sufficient for handover, continuity and future supportability.
• Provide hands-on input when new tools or platforms are evaluated, assessing integration, security and operational fit.
• Maintain and improve shared templates, reference implementations and reusable components to speed safe business buildouts.
• Contribute to joiner, mover and leaver processes across business systems, ensuring digital footprints are correctly managed.
