Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Loss Prevention Partner to join the Profit Protection team. You will help protect profits by investigating trends in shrinkage, patrolling the shop floor to deter theft, and monitoring CCTV for suspicious activity.

You’ll support colleagues and customers while maintaining safety and security across the store. The role requires 18+ and involves varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 37.5 hours per week with a rota and weekend/evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Be a point of contact for branch Profit Protection issues.
• Mitigate risk of harm to Partners and Customers.
• Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
• Address all aspects of shrinkage including dishonesty and errors.
• Coach Partners on minimising shrinkage and procedures.
• De-escalate conflicts professionally and detain or ban offenders when required.
• Support with investigations where required.

About the role

As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in our Profit Protection team you'll add value to the efficiency and profitability of the shop where you are based and be an integral part of the team. You'll investigate trends and report on key themes regarding shrinkage to protect our profits. You'll protect your fellow Partners and customers patrolling the shop floor to deter potential theft and monitor CCTV for signs of suspicious behaviour.

Due to its nature, you need to be 18-years or older to work in this role. You’ll work on a rota basis and will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a point of contact for branch Profit Protection related issues, and elevate as required.
• Mitigate the risk of malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
• Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
• Address all aspects of shrinkage, including; external and internal dishonesty, procedural failure and administrative error.
• Support and coach fellow Partners on how to minimise shrinkage and complete procedures correctly to protect our profits.
• De-escalate conflict situations in the shop professionally (at times, you may be required to detain or ban individuals who are committing offences in our shops).
• Support with investigations where required.

37.5 hours per week. Varied hours of work across seven days with a latest finish time of 20:00. Alternate weekends will be required.
