Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a long-term, full-time role in Wigan starting January 2027.

You will plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons, delivering both practical and theoretical learning while ensuring high standards of safety and behaviour. The school values strong subject knowledge, ability to differentiate, assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Food Technology.
• Ability to differentiate lessons for a range of abilities.
• Proven ability to assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons, both practical and theoretical.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, health and safety in the classroom.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and contribute to school life.
• Take on normal planning, preparation, assessment and teaching duties for a long-term post.
