Job summary

CIRCA Waste is seeking a driver to cover client sites across London, loading waste and transporting it for reuse, recycling or disposal. You will perform vehicle checks, plan routes taking ULEZ into account, and ensure clear client communication. You must keep accurate transfer notes and obtain written approval before extra work.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and willingness to work some weekends; this is a permanent position after probation with salary discussions post-probation.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category B driving licence.
• Experience driving a van in central London.
• Fit to do manual handling - lifting heavy and bulky items safely.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willing to work some weekends from time to time.
• Knowledge of waste Duty of Care and waste transfer notes (training given if not).
• Previous work in waste, removals or deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites across London, load waste safely, and transport for reuse, recycling or disposal.
• Perform vehicle walkaround checks, load-securing, and ensure safety.
• Plan routes considering London traffic, ULEZ and congestion zones.
• Provide customer service, communicate with clients, and obtain written approval before extra work or cost.
• Keep records and complete waste transfer notes.
• Close the job and confirm with the Operations Manager.
