Job summary

Fitch Group in London is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role sits in the Payroll function within Human Resources, supporting ~1,450 UK employees and 14 outsourced payrolls across EMEA.

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end UK payrolls, reconcile GL accounts in Oracle, handle pension contributions, and collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate information flow. Hybrid work arrangement with office presence required.

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and attention to detail with intermediate Excel proficiency (lookups and pivot tables).
• Ability to handle confidential information and payroll-related queries professionally.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Previous experience as a payroll administrator, with broad knowledge of in-house payroll processes.
• Experience working with non-UK payrolls, alongside strong vendor management skills.
• Confident using AI tools and effective prompting to improve processes, enhance efficiency and make better use of technology.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end processing of monthly UK payrolls for approximately 1,450 employees across eight PAYE schemes, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist with the input, review and payment of 14 outsourced payrolls across the EMEA region.
• Reconcile monthly payroll general ledger accounts in Oracle.
• Reconcile and arrange payment of monthly pension contributions, supporting wider benefits administration as needed.
• Work closely with Human Resources and Finance to ensure accurate, timely information flow.
• Respond to internal and external payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
