Job summary

La Nouvelle Garde is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to lead every service in our London kitchen. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to support day-to-day operations, ensuring dishes leave the pass to the highest standard.

You will lead a team during service, uphold food safety and quality standards, and coach junior chefs, while contributing to a growing kitchen and future openings.

Qualifications

• Currently working as Junior Sous Chef or ready to step up from Chef de Partie.
• Experience in high-quality, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership, organising and motivating a team during service.
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen standards.
• Reliable, hands-on approach with high personal standards and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead services and ensure dishes leave the pass to the highest standard.
• Work with Sous Chef and Head Chef to support daily kitchen operations.
• Lead team during service and maintain food safety and quality.
• Coach and develop junior chefs.
• Manage stock and minimize waste where possible.
