Job summary

Netholabs in London leads the development of human motion-capture and neurophysiology systems. We seek a hardware product manager to own R&D delivery, co-develop hardware with engineers, and scale to field deployment.

You will work with contract manufacturers, enforce data-capture protocols, and drive the product from prototype to manufacturable, remotely updatable systems. This is a hands-on, lab-and-supplier-facing role with cross-functional support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in hardware product management, product engineering, or programme management with prototypes to volume manufacture
• Direct experience with contract manufacturers: RFQs, NPI builds, yield, production-line fixes from remote locations
• Deep understanding of connected-device architecture: OTA, provisioning, telemetry, fleet management, costs

Responsibilities

• Take working prototypes to shippable, field-deployable systems and define the product, roadmaps, and delivery
• Specify and build out over-the-air update infrastructure: firmware, versioning, rollback, fleet management, remote diagnostics
• Own the design-for-manufacture transition — DFM/DFA reviews, BOM ownership, tolerancing, test fixtures, production test protocols
• Identify, qualify, and manage contract manufacturers and suppliers; manage RFQ to sustained production
• Establish and enforce best-practice data capture protocols across modalities (EEG, fNIRS, EMG, pupillometry, motion capture, video)
• Define requirements for in-the-wild collection: wearability, session setup time, robustness, battery life, unattended operation
• Work with electronics, mechanical, firmware, and neuroscience teams to translate research needs into hardware requirements
• Build the quality, documentation, and regulatory groundwork (design history, ISO 13485-style, CE/UKCA)
• Contribute to industrialisation of rodent recording platform where manufacturing and OTA overlap
