Neupulse is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to own and evolve firmware for a wearable neurostimulation device. The role is hands‑on, crosses hardware and software, and drives safety‑critical, production‑ready firmware.
You will collaborate with an external partner today, then build an in‑house capability, ensuring traceability, regulatory compliance, and robust releases aligned with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304. Hybrid role in Basingstoke.
Our wearable neurostimulation device is launching commercially.
At the heart of that device is firmware. We're looking for a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to own it.
Today, our device development is largely handled by an external partner. You'll be our internal technical authority for it — working hand in hand with that partner to keep firmware reliable and compliant now, while building the pathway to bring that capability in-house over time.
It's hands-on, safety-critical work on a device people wear every day: C/C++ on STM32, FreeRTOS on ARM Cortex-M, low-power and battery-operated, talking to iOS and Android over BLE.
You’ll:
This is firmware that ends up on someone's body, helping them through their day — so reliable, safe, and quietly life‑improving really matters.
You’ll own how it's built, from working with our external partner today to standing up the in‑house capability tomorrow, and watch the impact land with real people.
Hybrid role based in Basingstoke, with regular on‑site collaboration expected.
