Job summary

Encord is hiring London-based Human Data Program Managers to lead high-stakes, multi-project annotation work for frontier AI labs and robotics. You’ll translate research requirements into scalable annotation workflows, set standards, and ensure delivery against tight timelines with measurable quality.

You will own the delivery, supervise annotators, resolve edge cases, and maintain a hands-on, operational approach across several time zones.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional experience in AI data or annotation operations
• Proficient in Python or SQL
• Experience managing a distributed workforce
• End-to-end ownership of complex workflows

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of your projects end to end — throughput, quality and timeline
• Translate complex machine learning requirements into clear annotation workflows
• Become the deepest expert on your project's annotation standards and resolve ambiguity
• Maintain quality through process refinement, auditing and structured feedback loops
• Train annotators and build the learning material until internal support is in place
• Coach annotation teams and develop their skills as the work gets harder
• Measure annotator performance and make staffing decisions
• Allocate tasks and manage queues to balance throughput and quality
• Instrument the project at launch with measurable criteria and sampling plans
• Produce delivery reporting for customers and surface risks early
• Partner with Product and Engineering on process improvements
