Job summary

Hive Science Ltd. is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Product) to design, provision and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD processes for AI/ML workloads. You will work with engineers and data scientists to accelerate product delivery and ensure production-grade reliability.

The role emphasizes MLOps, security governance, and cutting‑edge AI integration in a fast-growing startup in London. You will drive automation and observability across the stack.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provision and manage secure cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Expertise with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Strong experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate).
• Track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with MLOps and ML model deployment workflows (Sagemaker, Lambda).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Sentry).
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL, vector DBs) and graph DBs (Neo4j).
• Security, IAM, and secrets management; data protection and governance focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Architect and maintain highly available systems for AI/ML workloads and data pipelines.
• Manage containerization/orchestration for microservices and ML deployments.
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for multi-environment releases.
• Implement MLOps workflows for model deployment, versioning, and monitoring.
• Automate provisioning, config management, and deployment with scripting.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and SLOs/SLIs for reliability.
• Enforce security governance: network security, IAM, encryption, and secrets.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to support deployments and performance optimization.
• Support data pipelines/ETL workflows and cloud data platforms; mentor team on DevOps practices.
