Job summary

Ambit in London is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the delivery of construction projects, coordinating with Construction Managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure safety, on-time delivery and quality.

You will work closely with site teams, assist with planning, monitor progress, manage documentation, and help maintain strong client and contractor relationships while developing leadership and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction supervision or site coordination.
• Understanding of construction processes and site operations.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements in construction.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Construction Manager in delivering projects from start to finish.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating site activities.
• Monitor progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site operatives.
• Attend site meetings and contribute to planning and problem-solving.
• Help manage project documentation, reports and records.
• Conduct site inspections and support quality assurance.
• Identify and address potential risks or delays.
• Build strong relationships with clients and contractors.
