Job summary

London Ambulance is seeking a rigorous Logistics Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of the central warehouse and distribution hub in Rainham. You will line-manage warehouse delivery operatives, oversee rotas, training, and disciplinary matters, and ensure stock control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience of supervising/line managing staff.
• Experience with driving larger vehicles and holding appropriate licences.
• Experience of stores/logistics/warehouse work.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and digital stock control systems.

Responsibilities

• Use staff supervision experience to ensure smooth daily warehouse operations and meet performance metrics.
• Provide day-to-day staffing and ensure all rota lines are covered.
• Maintain department records including Health & Safety, Fire Safety, delivery schedules and stock levels.
• Maintain staff records such as absence, training, licences and DBS in line with KPIs.
• Line manage Warehouse and Delivery Operatives, including welfare and sickness management, rotas and training.
• Lead on stock control for central logistics store and supervise movements of stock and vehicles.
