We’re proud to have achieved Great Place To Work status for three years running - and to be recognised among the UK's Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Production & Transportation.

But it's about so much more than badges to us, it's about being recognised by our people for the continuous work we do to do better for them.

About Our Opportunity

We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Logistics Team Member to join our Warehouse and Logistics team. In this role, you’ll support the smooth running of plant operations by ensuring materials, vehicles, and stock are managed safely and efficiently.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider team, you’ll help maintain an organised, safe, and productive environment while supporting the plant’s operational goals and service standards.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Supporting day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations across the plant.
  • Controlling vehicles entering and leaving the site, including weighing loads and recording data.
  • Loading, unloading, and preparing materials for dispatch according to daily schedules.
  • Transferring materials in line with production and despatch plans.
  • Operating plant and equipment such as FLTs, loaders, pallet trucks, and other machinery (when trained and licensed).
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and paperwork.
  • Supporting stock and quality checks alongside the management team.
  • Reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the site.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets and business objectives.
About You
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or factory environment.
  • Experience operating FLT equipment (Reach and Counterbalance).
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Ability to work well within a team and follow operational procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, practical approach.
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining safe working practices.
  • Experience with 360 equipment or MEWP.
  • Experience using weighbridge systems.
Who we are:

Our purpose is to create a future where the materials we use don’t need to be extracted from the planet.

At EMR, we give new life to unwanted materials. Every year, we recycle 10 million tonnes of metals and plastics, saving 19 million tonnes of carbon from entering the Earth’s atmosphere, diverting waste from landfill and protecting resources and habitats.

We couldn’t do any of this without our team members. In return for all they do, we do everything we can to create an environment of belonging, value, support and growth.

We’re proud to have achieved Great Place To Work status, but it’s about so much more than a badge. It’s about being recognised by our people for the continuous work we do to do better for them:

‘The people who work here are from varied backgrounds and have a variety of beliefs, all of which are accepted and respected.’

‘I’m encouraged to keep a healthy work-life balance so that I can be performing at my best.’

‘I’ve been supported every step of the way in my career progression.’

‘‘EMR offers a fantastic and inclusive environment; collaboration across the whole business, humility and hard work.’

We couldn’t do any of this without our team members. In return for all they do, we do everything we can to create an environment of belonging, value, support and growth, underpinned by our Company values of We Care and We Do.

  • We Care
  • Integrity – our people are Respectful and Honest
  • Trust – our people are Collaborative and Genuine
  • We Do
  • Accountable – our people are Determined and Responsible
  • Innovative – our people have a Growth Mind-set and are Progressive
