Job summary

WeBuyVintage is seeking a hands-on Logistics Team Manager for our Leeds warehouse, leading a 15–20 strong team across sorting and auction consignments. You’ll balance floor work with people leadership to keep stock moving and processes running smoothly.

You’ll manage stock, security and health and safety, coordinate with drivers and vendors, and develop your team through coaching and training. This is a four-day-week role based in Leeds.

• Experience supervising or managing a team in a warehouse, logistics, retail or operational environment.
• Hands-on, get-stuck-in approach - happy to work alongside your team, not just direct it.
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities - stock movements, security, people - at once.
• A clear understanding of stock control, security and safe handling procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to make decisions under pressure.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse sorting and auction consignment teams, ensuring work is accurate, safe and on time.
• Hands-on support with sorting stock, processing consignments and assisting where needed.
• Coordinate stock pick-ups and drop-offs with external vendors and drivers.
• Oversee warehouse security, including access control and safe storage of high-value items.
• Manage, motivate and develop the team, including rotas, performance and 1:1s.
• Ensure stock is logged, tracked and routed to the correct channels.
• Maintain high health & safety standards and address risks proactively.
• Be the first point of contact for day-to-day on-site issues; escalate when needed.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.

The Role:

As our Logistics Team Manager, you will be the hands-on manager for our Leeds warehouse, taking day-to-day charge of the warehouse sorting and auction consignment teams (roughly 15-20 people) You'll split your time between making the warehouse run smoothly by coordinating the flow of stocks in & out, managing the people who make it all happen and rolling your sleeves up to work alongside your team where required.

This is a role for someone who leads from the front by doing: just as comfortable on the warehouse floor solving a problem as they are managing a team

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Team leadership: take day-to-day charge of the warehouse sorting and auction consignment teams, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely and on time.
• Hands-on support: get hands-on with the team - sorting stock, processing consignments and supporting wherever extra help is needed.
• Stock movements: coordinate stock pick-ups and drop-offs with external vendors, working with our team of drivers, roadshows buyers and other WeBuyVintage locations to keep stock moving efficiently.
• Security: oversee warehouse security, including access control, stock handling procedures and safe storage of high-value items.
• People management: manage, motivate and develop the team, including rotas, performance, one-to-ones and day-to-day people management.
• Stock accuracy: ensure stock is accurately logged, tracked and routed to the correct channels (as our processes outline)
• Health & safety: maintain high standards of health & safety across the warehouse, identifying and addressing risks proactively.
• First point of contact: act as the first point of contact for day-to-day issues on-site, escalating to the Senior Logistics Coordinator where needed.
• Onboarding & training: support the onboarding and training of new team members.
• Continuous improvement: identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency, feeding these back to the Senior Logistics Coordinator

The salary for this role is £40,000 p.a.

Please not this role is based in our Leeds office 4 days per week.
