Job summary

Eurofins UK Food Testing is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to manage the collection, delivery team and the fleet at the Feltham site. The role is full-time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri 08:30-16:30) with responsibility for safety, route efficiency, and customer liaison across Eurofins. Requires driving licence, transport planning and strong people management.

The position offers out-of-hours coverage and development opportunities within the Eurofins network. Sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required and logistics background essential.
• Experience in transport planning and fleet management is important.
• Strong people management and performance coaching ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and telematics/traffic systems.
• Excellent communication, highly organised and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of the Feltham logistics team and fleet.
• Oversee safety standards, incidents reporting and investigations.
• Calibrate temperature controls and profile delivery vehicles.
• Coordinate sample collection routes for efficient operations.
• Liaise with third-party couriers and internal Eurofins teams.
• Cover logistics manager duties during absences and out-of-hours.
• Recruitment and induction of new drivers; monitor performance.
• Manage budget, spend and resource planning for logistics.

Job Description

The purpose of this position will be to manage the collection, delivery team and the fleet associated with the Feltham site.

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:30 till 16:30.

• Ensuring highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained across the logistics team, reporting and investigating all incidents and accidents within the safety portal.
• Ensure effective management of temperature control environments, through the calibration of probes and profiling of vans.
• Manage and audit all aspects of logistics work and procedures to ensure consistent delivery across team.
• Co-operate with the investigation and resolution of customer issues relating to the business unit.
• Monitor all spend and review with Logistics management.
• Co-ordination of the logistics team absence ensuring continued effective delivery of required tasks.
• Manage co-ordination of sample collection routes to ensure efficient use of company resources delivering an efficient and effective service supporting both clients and laboratories.
• Liaison with third party chilled couriers to facilitate any additional requirements.
• Direct client liaison regarding collections providing updates when required.
• Internal communication with other Eurofins departments to facilitate logistics requirements.
• Out of hours cover for logistics team, a shred approach in place.
• Processing and reporting of data as required for logistics team.
• Management of the Eurofins fleet at home site, ensuring all vehicles are serviced and compliant.
• Ensure effect and efficient use of sample drop off locations.
• Daily management of the logistics team for the home site, as well as covering absence for logistics management at other sites.
• Recruitment and induction of newly recruited drivers.
• Performance management of team.
• Monitoring of logistics team on road behaviour via digital platforms.
• Cover for the Logistics manager where required.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence.
• Background in logistics particularly in transport planning and fleet management.
• People and performance management skills.
• Experience Transport planning and fleet management
• Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft packages.
• Experience using Telematics systems and Traffic management systems.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Highly Organised with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
• Continuous improvement focused.
