Job summary

Unilever in Port Sunlight is seeking a Logistics Systems Improvement Technician to drive value in the distribution network. You will lead governance of trailer utilisation, yard flow, and DC system improvements to support customer operations and cost efficiency.

The role requires experience with WMS/YMS/SAP, a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement, and a collaborative approach across multiple teams within the supply chain. A strong FMCG logistics background is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience of dispatch planning and outbound logistics.
Ability to identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
Experience delivering against service metrics.
Problem solving and continuous improvement experience.
Interest in automated systems and learning new tools.

Responsibilities

Drive governance and continuous improvement of trailer utilisation and yard flow.
Ensure safety policies and quality standards are followed within the DC.
Monitor and improve performance against service metrics to avoid missed deliveries and demurrage.
Lead and support training, change and communication across the DC.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the distribution network.
