Logistics Supervisors

Job Type: On Site

Duration: Permanent

Location: Hemel Hempstead (First 6 months at Harrow)

Salary: £40,000

Sector: Aerospace

Hours: 37.5 hrs Per Week (Mon-Fri)

The Logistics Supervisor oversees logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of orders. Responsibilities include coordinating transportation and warehousing, supervising a team, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role involves supporting other departments like sales, warehouse, and procurement.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily logistics operations, including shipments.
  • Supervise logistics staff, ensuring safety and productivity.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders, including DAP, DDP, DDU, and consignment.
  • Coordinate transportation, both in-house and third-party.
  • Monitor shipment statuses and report on logistics performance.
  • Implement workflow improvements and optimize processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with audits.
  • Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with DG regulations.
  • Manage shipping documentation and shipment tracking.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align logistics with company goals.
  • Resolve logistics issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers regarding shipments.
  • Coordinate special delivery requests.
  • Support the Logistics Manager in expansion and KPI achievement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related (preferred).
  • 3-5 years in logistics or supply chain, preferably in MRO or airfreight.
  • Dangerous Goods Handling certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods, customs, tariffs, and 3PL logistics.
  • Organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and compliance documentation skills.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, with potential AOG hours.
  • Mix of office and warehouse work.
  • Physical activity including walking, standing, and lifting.
Location and Transport
  • Must have a car.
  • Within 45 mins driving distance preferred.
