Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd in Blyth, UK, seeks an experienced Logistics Supervisor to coordinate site logistics for large-scale data centre projects. You will manage delivery scheduling, compound storage, labour coordination and ensure health and safety compliance on site.

You will work with subcontractors and suppliers, optimise just-in-time deliveries, oversee storage spaces, and drive efficient site operations to support project milestones and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in an engineering or construction field is desirable
• 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong leadership and team management experience
• Experience managing loads and storage and coordinating with subcontractors

Responsibilities

• Manage the compound for all available storage areas on site.
• Booking and coordination of delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with Sub Contractors to ensure their understanding of locations for all deliveries and follow all instructions.
• Maintain good organisational skills to ensure deliveries are coming to site in an orderly manner.
• Attend pre-start meetings with sub-contractors to ensure they understand challenges on-site, storage space and booking of deliveries through the Datascope system.
• Encourage all contractors to adopt a just in time approach to deliveries and ensure all deliveries are complete.
• Prevent congestion and blockage of site roads; all loading/unloading of works-related vehicles must be within the compound.
• Manage operatives to ensure health & safety duties and work ethics are followed.
• Record and trace labour allocation and work reports.

As our operations continue to expand across Europe, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our growing team in Blyth, UK and play a key role in the successful delivery of mission-critical infrastructure projects.

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will play a key role in the coordination and management of all site logistics activities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and organised flow of materials across the project. Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams, you will oversee delivery scheduling, compound management, storage allocation, and labour coordination while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and operational efficiency. Requirements

• 3rd level qualification in an engineering or construction related field is desirable however strong trades background, with 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Ideally you will have 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong, proven leadership skills and experience of managing a team.
• In depth practical knowledge of managing loads, storage space, sub-contractors and operatives.
