Science and Technology Facilities Council in the UK is seeking a Logistics Operative to support day-to-day logistics, despatch, front desk duties and on-site deliveries at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell, Oxfordshire. The role includes handling hazardous materials, data entry and coordinating with couriers.

The post requires a UK manual driving licence, a forklift licence and GCSEs in English and Maths, with a strong focus on safety, accuracy and teamwork.

Qualificações

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Full UK manual driving licence (valid)
• Valid FLT forklift licence (S&I)
• Hands-on role with physical and admin tasks (S)
• Desirable: First aid qualification (S)
• Proficient in MS Office and data handling (I)
• Experience with despatch/courier systems (I)
• Ability to follow SOPs and work in a team (I)

Responsabilidades

• Front desk cover – first point of contact for customers (General)
• Provision of the postal function and handling daily mail
• Site deliveries using vans or forklift
• Despatch and shipping tasks, liaising with couriers
• Gas supply/servicing and hazardous materials handling
• Data entry and use of web-based systems
• Maintain records and support cost recharge data
• Contribute to safety and housekeeping (H&S)
