Job summary

ECM Selection is seeking an enthusiastic R&D Logistics Assistant to support our early-stage technology projects south of Cambridge. You will manage stock storage, allocate and check inventory, inspect deliveries and maintain storage facilities, tools and equipment, with meticulous record keeping.

As a small, fast-moving company you may also assist in other areas as needed; the role is fully onsite at our Cambridge site and offers a competitive salary for a hands-on, detail-oriented candidate

Qualifications

• Numerate STEM background and interest in technology.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Proficiency with manual handling and lifting tasks.
• Punctual, well-organised and detail oriented.
• Aptitude with computer systems including spreadsheets.
• Adaptable and flexible in a small, fast-moving team.
• Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance.

Job description

This company develops advanced technologies for national security applications - as their business scales and their ideas move towards field trials, they are seeking a R&D Logistics Assistant to help keep their R&D operation running smoothly.

Your day-to-day work would be varied and typically may include tasks such as stock storage, allocation and checking, inspection of deliveries, maintenance of the storage facilities, tools and equipment, and appropriate record keeping. As the company is still small and at an early stage, you may also provide support elsewhere in the business as and when the need arises.

Essential requirements:

• A numerate STEM background and demonstrable interest in technology
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Proficiency with manual handling/lifting tasks
• Punctuality, organisation skills, and attention to detail
• Aptitude with computer systems including spreadsheets
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Existing UK work permission and eligibility to obtain a security clearance

Previous stores/warehouse experience is obviously a bonus, but not essential.
