About The Role
Role Overview
As a result of proAV’s continued global success, we are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our in-house transportation operations team to support our domestic and international projects. Your primary role will be ensuring products and consumables are transported locally and globally in strict compliance with all relevant import and export laws and regulations, in the most cost-effective and efficient way.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and liaise with courier and logistic companies
- Schedule deliveries on behalf of Project Managers for UK and international projects
- Ensure the option/route confirmed is cost-efficient and in line with commercial requirements
- Prepare supporting documentation in association with deliveries, including sales invoices and shipping invoices
- Track shipments and update relevant teams on progress
- Calculate Duty / VAT costs for each consignment
- Process Import/Export declarations
- Deal with general enquiries from importers/exporters concerning Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and other documentation requirements
- Raise and authorize orders up to limits of published authority
- Log and monitor courier purchase logs for logistics
- Manage insurance claims related to delivery shortfalls and product damages
- Resolve delivery and collection discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams
- Administer in-house documentation and processes
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, stock returns team, and finance department
- Stay updated with changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedures
