Job Description:

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our Buyer Vendor Support (BVS) team at our Watford Head Office. This role involves acting as a strategic partner to our buying teams, third-party logistics providers, and vendors to ensure efficient flow of goods through our supply chain.

The Logistics Specialist will play a key role in maximizing profitability by identifying risks and seeking opportunities to improve logistics, while adhering to customer protection standards and safeguarding our reputation. Understanding buyer strategies and challenges, the successful candidate will develop solutions to support commercial opportunities, manage logistics costs, and uphold our off-price buying principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Buying Partnerships:
   • Support the UK Buying office with deals, ensuring logistical objectives are met for efficient goods flow.
   • Partner with buying teams, advising on best practices in a dynamic, off-price environment and suggesting creative solutions.
   • Act as the main communication link between Logistics and Buying, managing stakeholder expectations with realistic, timely solutions.
2. Vendor Excellence:
   • Partner with vendors and buying teams to onboard vendors, ensuring compliance with TJX Europe's requirements.
   • Represent TJX & Logistics during vendor visits.
   • Drive improvements in vendor behavior through collaboration across teams, including cost mitigation initiatives.
3. Logistics Engagement & Partnership:
   • Collaborate with logistics teams and freight forwarders, using strong communication skills to resolve supply chain issues.
   • Prioritize shipments and key deals using reporting tools to maintain and grow customer relationships.
   • Ensure process alignment across BVS logistics teams on best practices and expectations.
