Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Logistics security officer to deliver exceptional customer service while creating a safe environment for visitors and colleagues at Crick depot in Wales.

Preference given to candidates with an active SIA licence or certificates (training can be provided). A full 5-year checkable history is essential, and the role involves patrols, CCTV monitoring, liaison with depot management and gatehouse duties, with shifts to discuss at interview.

Qualifications

• Reasonable level of PC skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service
• Conduct patrols of the depot
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
• Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the depot management teams
• Deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices
• Conduct searches (to be discussed at interview)
• Respond to on-site incidents or requests for assistance and assume control until arrival of Client/EMS/Depot Duty Manager
• Highlight breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
• Support access and egress to and from the site as required by the systems installed
• Gatehouse duties including booking in vehicles and supporting transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
• Must have reasonable level of PC skills

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for a Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)

Vetting

It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

Main duties:

• To deliver industry leading customer service
