Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Relief Logistics security officer to deliver exceptional customer service and create a safe, crime-free environment across various sites. The role supports depots via patrols, CCTV monitoring and acting as a security contact for staff and visitors. A current SIA licence is preferable, with training possible in some cases.

Vetting requires a full 5-year history. The position offers contracted hours and a comprehensive benefits package through Mitie's reward schemes and salary

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service
• Conduct patrols of the depot
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
• Utilise CCTV systems to support crime and stock loss reduction
• Liaise with depot management teams
• Deter theft (internal and external) and other poor practices
• Conduct Searches (to be discussed at interview)
• Respond to on-site incidents and assist until Client/Emergency Services/Depot Duty Manager arrival
• Highlight breaches of security procedures
• Assist with site access/egress and gatehouse duties (to be discussed at interview)
• Support transport operations where required

Job Overview

Mitie is looking for a Relief Logistics security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.

It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)

Vetting

It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.

Main Duties

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To conduct patrols of the depot
• To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the depot management teams
• To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices
• To conduct Searches (to be discussed at interview)
• To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager
• To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime
• Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed
• Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview)
• Must have reasonable level of PC skills
