Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Logistics Manager to drive planning and coordination for the Margam Connection Project in Port Talbot, Wales. You will lead major project logistics strategy, with a focus on safety, sustainability and on-site execution.

You will build strong stakeholder engagement across the central logistics team, suppliers and site management, ensuring best practices are shared and implemented across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience creating major project logistics strategy documents.
• Proven data analysis experience in construction activities and plant movements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination across teams.
• Knowledge of Construction Consolidation Centres (CCC).
• Understanding of critical transport setup on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop major project logistics strategy documents including site mobilisation plans.
• Lead material forecasting, flow development, and reporting for entry/exit of all material movements.
• Coordinate transport planning across road, rail, and shipping and develop freight profiles.
• Develop people forecasting, monitoring and reporting of data.
• Support project mobilisation and handover to operational teams.
• Ensure safety of loads and adherence to H&S standards for pedestrian routes.
