Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Logistics Production Manager for the AM shift to lead a team and ensure smooth materials flow from receipt to production. You’ll foster a safe, high-performing environment, develop people and drive continuous improvement across the operation.

You will manage planning, resource allocation and performance, using data to guide decisions and enhance safety, quality, delivery and cost outcomes. This is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month contract, onsite at Desford.

Qualifications

• Performance Management: Lead, develop and motivate a team through coaching, feedback and performance management practices.
• Planning and Organising: Plan and coordinate people, materials and resources to meet operational requirements.
• Problem Solving: Use structured approaches to identify operational issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Evaluate data, assess risks and make informed daily decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team while promoting a strong safety culture and clear expectations.
• Plan and coordinate logistics activities to ensure materials flow efficiently through manufacturing.
• Monitor KPIs and use data to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement to reduce waste and strengthen operations.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure timely material availability for production.
