Job Title: Logistics Operative
Location: Park Royal or Beckton + Hybrid Working Arrangements
Compensation: £40,249 + Benefits

At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Logistics Operative at either our Beckton or Park Royal site and play your part.

The role

As a Logistics Operative, you’ll provide effective equipment and vehicle support to maintain equipment and vehicle availability for our training programme with the London Fire Brigade.

  1. Work within the logistics department, supporting administrative activities using available resources.
  2. Liaise with the logistics manager to manage tasks.
  3. Assist in resource management to ensure compliance with legislation and maintain adequate stock levels.
  4. Report and process equipment defects and breakdowns according to the London Fire Brigade system.
  5. Perform other tasks as directed by the Logistics Manager.
  6. Provide cover for delivery drivers.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, based onsite at either our Park Royal or Beckton sites.

Essential experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team within the logistics department.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Knowledge of fire service vehicle and equipment (desirable).
  • Awareness of current Health and Safety regulations in a workshop environment.
  • Professional image—trustworthy, punctual, polite, with a good work ethic.
Qualifications
  • Category C driving license (desirable).

Security Clearance
