Job summary

DX Freight is looking for a data-driven analyst to support cost and operational decision-making across the UK logistics network. The role involves quantitative analysis, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration with IT to align systems with designed options.

Familiarity with end-to-end logistics processes and dashboards is preferred, with a focus on delivering clear, actionable recommendations and implementation plans to improve efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

• Numerate with strong analytical skills.
• Must be able to build basic excel models to evaluate financial and operational impact of options
• Familiar with end-to-end logistics processes and cost, capacity and productivity drivers, including Collection and Delivery, Transport and Under-the-roof activities
• Experience in managing operational trials and measuring operational impact
• Strong communication skills, able to focus on key messages and explain complex concepts in an understandable way
• Familiarity with operational reporting metrics, and dashboards

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analysis to compare options.
• Engage with stakeholders to support balanced qualitative assessment of options and ensure any recommendations are realistic.
• Liaise with IT to ensure alignment of systems requirements.
• Prepare, document and present recommendations and implementation plans.
• Maintain relevant benchmarks and best practices to guide and inform future design projects.
• Contribute to blue-sky thinking and idea generation and prioritisation
