Job summary

DX Freight in Reading, UK, is seeking an analytically minded professional to conduct quantitative analysis of cost and operational data, compare options and prepare implementation plans. You will engage stakeholders, liaise with IT for systems alignment and develop clear, data-driven recommendations.

The role focuses on end-to-end logistics cost drivers, dashboards and reporting to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• Numerate with strong analytical skills.
• Build basic Excel models to evaluate financial and operational impact.
• Familiar with end-to-end logistics processes and cost, capacity and productivity drivers.
• Experience in managing operational trials and measuring operational impact.
• Strong communication skills, able to focus on key messages and explain complex concepts in an understandable way.
• Familiarity with operational reporting metrics, and dashboards.
• Experience in operations research and layout design (Nice to have).
• Experience in building business cases for operational improvements and investment cases (Nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analysis to compare options.
• Engage with relevant stakeholders to support balanced qualitative assessment of options.
• Liaise with IT to ensure alignment of systems requirements.
• Prepare, document and present recommendations and implementation plans.
• Maintain relevant benchmarks and best practices for future design projects.
• Contribute to blue-sky thinking, prioritisation and testing possible solutions.
