Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Bristol is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to lead a team of Shipping and Compliance Controllers, ensuring safe, compliant movement of parts and engines across OE and MRO operations. The role combines people leadership with operational performance across Defence and wider Rolls-Royce activities.

You will manage third-party providers, oversee budgets, drive continuous improvement, and work with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain management.
• Proven track record leading and developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of shipping processes and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with SAP, Power BI or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Shipping and Compliance Controllers to ensure resource planning and on-time delivery.
• Oversee export controls, aviation security, regulatory obligations and audits.
• Manage third-party logistics providers, including warehousing and transport contracts.
• Oversee logistics budgets with Finance, Commercial and Programme teams.
• Drive continuous improvement to simplify shipping processes using digital tools and data analytics.
• Collaborate with site leadership, Procurement, Quality and other stakeholders to resolve challenges.
