Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Logistics Operator to work for a company in Milton Park on a Temp to Permanent basis.

Role: Logistics Operator. Salary: 13.54 Per Hour. Location: Milton Park, Abingdon. Hours: 37.5 hours, 30min unpaid lunch, 2 x15 min paid tea breaks - 08:00 -16:00. The role includes receiving goods, putting away stock, picking, packing for dispatch, stocktakes and maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of general stores procedures.
• Picking and packing knowledge.
• Understanding of safe working practices.
• Attention to detail in transactions.
• Computer literate with MS Office tools.
• Clear communication with customers and colleagues.
• Flexible approach to work and deadlines.
• Physically able to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods into stores, check for damage and quantity.
• Put product away according to FIFO and ensure safe storage.
• Pick products for internal use or external customers and book out.
• Reflect transactions accurately on the system.
• Replenish Kanban bins and maintain stock areas in good condition.
• Pack products for safe despatch and monitor shelf lives.
• Carry out goods-in inspection and quarantine non-conforming parts.
• Maintain inspection area, storage protocols and 5S standards.
• Support stocktakes and report discrepancies to the relevant department.
• Attend team meetings and perform additional duties as required.
