Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Logistics Operator for a 6-month contract in Barrow-in-Furness. The role is onsite with day shifts from 7.00am to 3.45pm (Mon-Thu) and 7.00am to 11.30am on Fridays, with a PAYE rate of £14.00–£16.50 per hour plus overtime.

The successful candidate will manage day-to-day logistics operations, coordinate shipments, and maintain accurate inventory and documentation in an oil & gas subsea environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, warehouse or shipping/receiving role.

Responsibilities

• Manage loading and unloading of goods from trucks, containers and other transport vehicles.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and couriers to ensure proper and prompt movement of shipments.
• Respond to customer inquiries and refer them to proper departments.
• Ensure shipments are shipped on time, meeting on time delivery targets and revenue targets.
• Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy.
• Maintain accuracy in shipping, receiving and inventory processes.
• Handle shipments, measuring boxes, weights shipments, re-palletizing and packaging delicate and fragile items.
• Kitting of components, etching components.

Job Role – Logistics Operator

Reporting to the Logistics Team Lead the Logistics Operator is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the logistics department, including movement of storage and distribution of goods.
