Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or similar senior role.
• Experience managing high-volume despatch in manufacturing.
• Strong transport planning and third-party haulier management.
• Understanding of logistics costs and KPIs.
• Experience leading a sizeable operational team.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing goods-in operations, including receipt of steel and components.
• Managing picking, packing and preparation for despatch.
• Coordinate loading and movement for export, domestic and inter-company transfers.
• Organise transport requirements and loading instructions.
• Manage a varied transport operation from courier to articulated vehicles.
• Maximise vehicle utilisation and control logistics costs.
• Lead and develop the operational team.
• Work with Production and fulfilment to balance priorities.
• Maintain health and safety standards across the logistics operation.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as cost per tonne, vehicle utilisation and service performance.
