Job summary

CitySprint Ltd in London East is seeking an Operations Controller to manage day-to-day courier resources, ensuring deliveries and collections meet customer SLAs. You will work closely with the Service Centre Manager and Operations Manager in a KPI-driven environment emphasizing service, safety and performance.

The role is hands-on, requires good judgement and pace, and offers a permanent, full-time position with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational, logistics or customer-focused roles.
• Confident communicator with multi-priority management.
• Familiar with KPIs, systems and real-time decisions.
• Organised and calm under pressure, problem-solving.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and allocate courier resources to meet customer SLAs and network needs.
• Monitor courier performance and take corrective actions when standards fall short.
• Handle day-to-day queries from customers, couriers and operations.
• Keep systems updated accurately (e.g. CityTrak / X-Despatch).
• Support onboarding and compliance of courier resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan for peak periods and boost performance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly working environment.
