Job summary

Diageo is seeking a Health & Safety and Logistics Lead to own the 3PL Health and Safety Programme across Leven and Shieldhall. You will lead incident investigations, drive corrective actions, and ensure alignment with the company’s Quality Strategy while managing weekend operations.

You will partner with Category Teams and Contract Managers, standardise processes and champion a strong safety culture across multi-site operations. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Technical or Industrial subject.
• Experience in spirits and beers is advantageous.
• Experience in drinks industry or logistics organisation preferred.
• Experience of SAP is essential.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multi-site operations and weekend work.
• Safety and risk management awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own the onsite 3PL Health and Safety Programme
• Lead incident investigations to determine root cause and implement long‑term fixes
• Ensure Diageo’s logistics Quality Strategy addresses customer concerns and implement corrective mitigations
• Manage weekend operations across Leven and Shieldhall
• Ensure adherence to operational plans and achievement of critical metrics, including direct despatch
• Engage and manage Production Leadership teams
• Partner with Category Teams, Weekday Logistics Contract Managers and other Health & Safety Managers within Global Brand Supply
• Standardise processes, manage risks and drive compliance
• Champion Health & Safety culture, drive quality standards and execute logistics operations plans with the 3PL partner
• Conduct external benchmarking of trends and efficiencies in the logistics sector to improve processes, strategy and technologies

Requirements

• Knowledge and technical expertise in spirits and beers an advantage


• Extensive experience within the drinks industry or applicable logistics organisation preferred


• Experience of SAP is essential
