Job summary

Universal Business Team is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager in Thetford to lead a team of around 15, oversee fleet operations, and drive delivery performance. This office-based role focuses on process improvement, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to shape strategic logistics initiatives.

You will manage drivers, coordinate fleet maintenance, and ensure on-time deliveries while fostering strong customer and carrier relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics, transport or distribution management.
• Experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong understanding of fleet management, delivery operations and route planning.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on performance and continuous improvement.
• A proactive, hands-on leadership style.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and health & safety requirements.
• Experience using logistics, transport management or ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Resilient and calm under pressure.
