Responsibilities

• Lead logistics activity across transport, warehousing, inventory and 3PL operations.
• Manage key relationships with hauliers, logistics providers and other external suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure service and cost expectations are met.
• Take ownership of logistics spend, budgets and cost control.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
• Review existing processes and introduce practical operational improvements.
• Lead logistics projects including supplier changes, transport improvements and warehouse initiatives.
• Develop meaningful KPIs and reporting to provide greater visibility of performance and spend.
• Strengthen stock control and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure health, safety and compliance standards are maintained.
• Resolve operational issues quickly while addressing root causes.
• Work with supply chain, production, customer service and commercial teams.

Logistics Manager

Essex | Permanent | Full-Time

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and improve a busy logistics function covering transport, warehousing, inventory and outsourced logistics partners.

This is a hands-on leadership role with plenty of scope to make a difference. You'll take responsibility for day-to-day logistics performance while also looking at the bigger picture: where costs can be reduced, processes simplified, supplier performance improved and better controls introduced.

Working across the wider business and with external logistics partners, you'll have the autonomy to challenge existing ways of working and build a more efficient, visible and commercially focused operation.

What You'll Be Doing
