Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead the materials, planning and logistics functions across the manufacturing operation.

You will drive stock accuracy, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with production teams to meet schedules and KPI targets.

Qualifications

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Logistics Manager to join an internationally established manufacturing organisation.

The successful Logistics Manager will be joining a leading manufacturer where you will have the opportunity to further progress your managerial career and responsibilities as the role will be responsible for Materials, Planning and Logistics Functions.

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the life cycle of stock from supply through to despatch.

Further responsibilities will include:

• Managing all the activities within the logistics department including materials scheduling, production planning and shop floor logistics.
• Ensure the integrity of stock accuracy at all times
• Work with production departments to ensure adherence to schedule
• Ensure the ERP and MRP systems are in place and maintained accurately
• Set KPIs and ensure they are achieved in relation to volume output, quality standards and timescales.
• Ensure supplier management and customer liaison
• Strategic Planning with the rest of the management team by
• Actively promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement
• Effectively performance manage all employees

Ideally, candidates will be degree qualified and have extensive experience of working within the automotive arena in a similar capacity.

The Logistics Manager should be able to demonstrate a strong leadership and continuous improvement philosophy/background. Excellent communication, organisation and forward planning skills are a must have.
