What you'll do

Viasat is seeking an experienced Logistics and Warehouse Manager to support our UK, Europe, and African Energy Services logistics and fulfillment functions. Your responsibilities will be diverse and autonomous, requiring you to process sales orders, coordinate transportation globally, and manage warehouse operations including receiving, put away, picking, packing, and dispatching. You will also develop and maintain logistics processes, transportation cost models, ensure customs compliance, and handle reporting and analysis. Liaising with internal departments, external customers, and managing third-party logistics (3PL) centers and transportation providers, you will facilitate the movement of products across Viasat’s global supply chain. The role involves data analysis to improve supply chain activities, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting the supply chain team.

The day-to-day

Manage on-site warehouse and inventory, review import/export documentation, and coordinate with brokers, forwarders, and customs officials to ensure timely and compliant export of products. Analyze potential cost savings and process improvements. Specific duties include:

• Picking and packing orders.
• Managing inventory transactions.
• Preparing transportation documents.
• Maintaining key reporting metrics.
• Soliciting and preparing transportation quotes.
• Scheduling freight moves via global 3PL networks.
• Providing product movement and inventory updates.
• Ensuring 3PL providers adhere to service agreements.
• Collaborating with logistics providers, carriers, and brokers to improve service levels and costs.
• Approving freight invoices for accounts payable.
• Working closely with finance, program management, compliance, and operations teams.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining operational controls, contributing to continuous improvement, developing procedures, communicating regularly with stakeholders, managing inventory control processes, and participating in new service/system development.

What you'll need

• UK Passport, Citizenship, or Valid UK Work Permit.
• At least 3 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain management.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical, research, and strategic thinking skills.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and VAT.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Customer service skills and judgment within policies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

What will help you on the job

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related field.
• Experience with warehouse setup and WMS systems.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems, Excel, JIRA, ServiceNow, and TMS.
• Forklift certification or ability to be trained.
• Experience with reporting and analytical tools.
• High analytical aptitude and advanced Excel skills.
