Job description

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Logistics Manager who can challenge existing processes, drive continuous improvement and help shape the future of logistics operations within a growing international business. The Logistics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day logistics and supply chain operations including optimising logistic providers services and cost efficency. This role ensures the smooth flow of goods while maintaining accurate records. This role contributes to Customers and Principals satisfaction and loyalty while ensuring compliance. This role interacts with Commercial, Operational, SHEQ and Financial Teams., Operational excellence :

  • Manage all relationships with third-party logistics providers.
  • Develop and manage programs that optimise cost, service level, and delivery reliability. Monitor KPIs to enhance performance.
  • Coordinate corrective actions on recurring pain points and customer/principal complaints. Ensure timely investigation, and closure. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure logistics providers full compliance with standards and certifications. Keep all relevant records up to date.
  • Support Sales & Supply Chain Teams in logistics claim management (root cause and corrective actions).
  • Handle destruction of expired or damaged products and keep all records for regulatory purpose.
  • Lead year-end stock counts at all relevant warehouses, reconcile and explain deviations.
  • Actively contribute to integration of new acquisitions, activities and mandates.
  • Interact with financial Auditors, external Auditors and Authorities.
Leadership & strategy :
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing and value-added services and compliance.
  • Define and execute the local strategy aligned with EMEA logistics strategy and customer service objectives. Drive long-term network planning, including warehouse locations, value-added services and transportation models.
  • Foster collaboration across functions to maximise operational efficiency
Financial & contract management :
  • Lead/support contract negotiations with strategic 3PLs.
  • Coordinate local tenders, source appropriate external partners, manage specific price requests.
  • Set up automatic accruals in the ERP and maintain rates in TMS systems. Make sure of auto-charges relevance.
  • Control spends and lead monthly logistics reconciliations in collaboration with Finance Team. Explain any material deviation. Control logistic providers invoices. Code logistic providers invoices into D365.
Optimal support to day-to-day operations:
  • Contribute to efficiency and conformance of transportation, warehousing, storage, repacking and blending operations against applicable regulations, specifications and procedures.
  • Provide further assistance to supply chain team on logistic claims (root cause, corrective actions, escalation to insurance company where required, payment collection for damages).
  • Assist Business Units, Supply Chain and SHEQ/Regulatory Teams with monthly claim closing, questionnaires, safety protocols.
  • Manage specific price requests for road, air and sea freights.
  • Connect with forwarders to get fuel surcharge monthly update.
  • Support cost tracking. Contribute to monthly reconciliations with Finance.
  • Ensure EDI connection performance with logistic providers. Unlock blocked messages on the platform.
  • Handle inventory movements registrations/corrections where needed and proceed to reconciliation.
Conformance & contribute to sustainability:
  • Ensure compliance with all QA, SHE requirements, procedures and working instructions in order to maintain high service standards and quality of Data Management.
  • Cooperate with Supply Chain Leaders, SHEQ and Regulatory on risk assessment with regard to stock, waste, quality agreements, changes in legislation.
  • Review non-conformances daily, with Supply Chain, SHEQ and Commercial Teams and Logistics Providers. Provide feedback to Stakeholders to allow closing of non-conformances in CRM.
  • Translate the Group's Sustainability Strategy into concrete job-related actions and contribute actively and timely to the implementation of the sustainability KPIs.
Continuous process optimisation and excellent teamwork:
  • Provide regular feedback to BPOs and Key Users to enable operational excellence, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop expertise in processes and work instructions related to own scope and support development of best practices.
  • Collaborate to continuous improvement of logistics to ensure efficient cost - quality - lead time balance.
  • Provide cover for the Logistics team as required.
