We're looking for a skilled, unflappable Logistics Manager / Administrator who's very organised, an expert in spinning lots of plates, and knows what's going on with several simultaneous projects, all at the same time. You'll need to be the linchpin of communication across the business through internal and external stakeholders, and want to help drive our successful business to the next level. This role is based within our Northampton office.
BASIC SALARY:
Up to £55,000

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Logistics Manager, Service Manager, Service Administrator, Service Co-ordinator - Facilities Management
Based out of the Northampton office (with very occasional trips to sites across the UK), as our Logistics Manager you'll act as a key liaison between Engineering, IT, HR and the Senior Leadership Team. This is a varied role of communication, logistics and service management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaising with Site Managers to establish requirements and allocating Engineers to service jobs across IT and Electro-Mechcnical Engineering departments.
- Maintain records on current and forthcoming projects - ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are aware of the status, milestones and any bottlenecks before they become an issue.
- Work closely with departments to provide logistical / operational support where required.
- Build relationships with all relevant Facilities Management companies at the various sites across the UK to be able to quickly address issues that come to you via regional management.
- Provide support to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team on internal projects (which may be commercial, marketing, technical, operational etc.) from an organisation & logistics perspective.
- Spare parts ordering, logistics and inventory management
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- You've probably have managed diaries of a service or technical support teams OR have strong experience of a logistics management / coordinator role - so you've either managed the movement of people or things to deadlines whilst maintaining an understanding of profitability.
- You're exceptionally organised - keeping records of project milestones, service appointments and delivery dates across several projects at sites all across the UK.
- You're also an excellent communicator - able to parse information, and report back in a clear concise and accurate way to the relevant project stakeholders (internal and external customers).
- Any exposure to facilities management companies would be an advantage, but is not essential.
