Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience on construction sites, ideally fit out or commercial interiors.
• Strong track record managing site logistics and coordinating deliveries.
• Comfortable on busy city-centre projects with tight access constraints.
• Organised, proactive, and a confident communicator with trades and suppliers.
• Relevant and up-to-date tickets and certificates (CSCS, SMSTS).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and optimise all deliveries and collections, including time slots.
• Manage loading bays, hoists, goods lifts and material storage areas.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and building management to keep programmes on track.
• Maintain safe access routes and segregation between pedestrians, vehicles and plant.
• Coordinate waste management and removal.
• Keep accurate logistics records and report to the project team.
• Support site inductions and enforce health and safety standards.

Site Logistics Manager Cat B Office Fit Out

Location: Central Glasgow

Contract: Freelance, through to end of March 2027

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am 5pm

Salter Grange is partnering with a leading fit out contractor to find an experienced Logistics Manager for a high-profile Cat B office fit out in the heart of Glasgow. This is a long-running freelance role, ideal for someone who knows how to keep a busy city-centre site moving safely and efficiently.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of all site logistics, making sure materials, trades and deliveries flow smoothly in a constrained urban environment. Working closely with the project and site management team, you’ll be the go-to person for everything that comes on and off site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, scheduling and coordinating all deliveries and collections, including booking systems and time slots
• Managing loading bays, hoists, goods lifts and material storage areas
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and building management to keep programmes on track
• Maintaining safe access routes and segregation between pedestrians, vehicles and plant
• Coordinating waste management and removal
• Keeping accurate logistics records and reporting to the project team
• Supporting site inductions and enforcing health and safety standards

About You
