CONSTRUCTION LOGISTICS MANAGER - BRIGHTON
KDK Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to join a new, long-term construction project in Brighton.
We are looking for someone with strong site logistics experience who can take ownership of the day-to-day logistics operation and ensure the site runs safely, efficiently and in line with the programme.

Key Duties & Areas of Responsibility
- Site Logistics Planning - Implementing and managing the site logistics plan and adapting it as the project progresses.
- Deliveries & Vehicle Movements - Coordinating deliveries, booking systems, vehicle movements, unloading areas and ensuring deliveries do not impact the programme.
- Traffic Management - Managing site traffic routes, pedestrian segregation, access/egress points and ensuring safe movement around the project.
- Crane & Lifting Coordination - Working alongside the lifting team to coordinate lifting activities, crane operations and material movements.
- Material Management - Coordinating unloading, storage, distribution and movement of materials across the project.
- Logistics Labour Management - Managing logistics operatives, traffic marshals, labourers and other associated site personnel.
- Site Set-Up & Compound Management - Overseeing welfare areas, site offices, storage areas, compounds, hoarding, gates and general site infrastructure.
- Waste Management & Housekeeping - Managing waste removal, skips, recycling and maintaining high standards of site cleanliness and housekeeping.
- Access & Security - Managing site access arrangements, security requirements, visitor procedures and workforce access.
- Health & Safety - Ensuring all logistics activities are carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures, RAMS and current H&S requirements.
- Subcontractor Coordination - Liaising with subcontractors, site management and trades to coordinate deliveries, access and logistical requirements.
- Programme Support - Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure logistics operations support the construction programme and upcoming
Essential Requirements
- Black CSCS or Gold CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Proven Construction Logistics Management experience
- Strong knowledge of site logistics, traffic management and material movements
- Experience managing logistics teams and subcontractors
- Excellent planning, coordination and communication skills
- Ability to manage a busy construction site and work closely with the wider project team
