Job summary

DS Smith Plc is seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to drive UK logistics strategy, standardise processes and enhance performance across its packaging division. You will work with site teams, external partners and stakeholders to ensure safety, service and efficiency while delivering lasting value across the UK network.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain roles.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and inventory management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at multiple locations and drive change.
• Proven track record of managing supplier performance and KPIs.
• Willingness to travel regularly to DS Smith sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the UK Logistics Strategy across DS Smith's UK operations.
• Develop and standardise logistics processes and procedures.
• Implement consistent transport planning and order management/best practices.
• Develop and maintain Transport and Warehousing SLAs.
• Collaborate with site teams and stakeholders to embed new ways of working.
• Promote a strong safety culture across sites and with partners.
• Manage relationships with external logistics partners and monitor KPIs.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities in transport and warehousing.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement and suppliers to optimise network performance.
