DS Smith Redditch is seeking a Transport Planning Manager to lead end-to-end transport planning, despatch, warehouse and yard operations. You will partner with Production Planning, Customer Service and external logistics partners to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-conscious outputs while driving continuous improvement.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop a high-performing team, manage third-party providers, optimise routes and OTIF performance, and embed a safety-first culture

Formación

• Proven leadership in manufacturing, warehousing or logistics.
• Strong background in transport planning, despatch, warehouse or distribution.
• Experience leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong Health & Safety compliance knowledge.
• Experience managing third-party transport providers and costs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Analytical, data-driven decision making.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Hands-on leadership style to drive change.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end transport planning, despatch, warehouse and yard operation, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective deliveries.
• Manage third-party haulage providers, optimise vehicle utilisation, routing and backloads; improve OTIF and stock accuracy.
• Champion a safety-first culture; lead audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Lead, coach and develop the Despatch and Warehouse teams with performance management and training.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects; collaborate across the DS Smith network.
