Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Logistics Improvement Manager for a Stoke-on-Trent site. You will drive efficiency, compliance and performance across warehousing, distribution and supply chain activities, leading improvement projects and embedding change with site teams.

The role requires Lean expertise, strong analytical skills and experience in logistics operations. Hybrid working is offered, with a salary around £50,000–£55,000 and a strong bonus and pension package.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering process improvements and change initiatives.

Meridian Business Support is recruiting on behalf of a leading international manufacturer for a Logistics Improvement Manager to join their Stoke-on-Trent operation. As Logistics Improvement Manager, you will lead initiatives that improve efficiency, compliance and operational performance across warehousing, distribution and supply chain activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading logistics and operational improvement projects from planning through to implementation
• Driving continuous improvement using Lean principles, process mapping and value stream analysis
• Monitoring KPIs, identifying trends and implementing solutions to improve performance
• Supporting ISO and BSI audits and maintaining compliance with quality standards
• Managing process documentation and promoting best practice across the site
• Building strong relationships with operational teams and stakeholders to successfully embed change

To be successful as a Logistics Improvement Manager, you will have:

• Experience within logistics, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing or supply chain operations
• Previous team leadership or management experience, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from colleagues without direct line management responsibility
• A track record of delivering process improvements, operational change or continuous improvement projects
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies and operational excellence principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of KPI management
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• SAP EWM experience would be highly advantageous

This Logistics Improvement Manager role would suit candidates currently working as a Logistics Project Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, Supply Chain Project Manager or Operational Excellence Manager.
