Job summary

Walker Filtration Limited is seeking a Logistics Engineer to drive continuous improvement across the end-to-end material flow, from supplier delivery to the shop floor presentation. You will collaborate with procurement, planning, manufacturing, production and warehouse teams to design efficient logistics solutions that reduce waste and lower costs.

The role requires Lean, Six Sigma and value stream mapping experience, plus hands-on ERP/WMS knowledge to enable KPI-driven improvements and

Qualifications

3-5 years' experience in logistics, warehouse, supply chain, manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of warehouse optimisation and material flow improvement.
Hands-on experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Strong inventory management knowledge with ERP/WMS experience.
Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, and PDCA.

Responsibilities

Analyse and improve material flow from suppliers through to point of production consumption.
Design and implement efficient warehouse layouts, storage systems and material movement processes.
Drive best-practice line feeding, replenishment, picking and kitting methodologies.
Reduce non-value-added activity including transportation, waiting time, excess motion and inventory.
Work with suppliers to improve packaging design and delivery methods.
