Job summary

Cummins Inc. seeks an enthusiastic Placement Student to join UK Logistics for the Daventry center. You will develop Power BI reporting, analyze data, and support improvement projects to boost efficiency. The placement runs for 12 months, starting Summer 2027, offering hands-on experience in a global logistics environment.

You will work with stakeholders, apply Lean tools, and learn how a major corporation operates while developing digital tools for the team and internal partners.

Qualifications

• We are looking for candidates pursuing an Analysis/Supply Chain/Logistics/Planning degree.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills required, including Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI knowledge is essential.
• SQL knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think innovatively to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI reporting capabilities.
• Use Lean, 5S and Six Sigma to enable continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements.
• Support and potentially lead projects that optimize operational efficiency.
• Use data analysis to quantify benefits of improvement proposals.
• Create and maintain digital tools to increase efficiency and operator experience.
