Job summary

Essex County Council in Chelmsford is seeking a highly organised Team Administrator for the Supervised Family Time Team. The role coordinates referrals, venues, transport and safeguarding to support children and families.

You will manage multiple priorities, work with Social Workers and external providers, monitor budgets and produce reports for service improvement, with limited remote work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • Educated to RQF Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience coordinating logistics, scheduling, or operational activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build effective relationships.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and administrative processes to support service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and allocate supervised family time referrals within five working days, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Assess referrals and allocate cases to internal staff, agency workers or external providers.
  • Source and book appropriate venues that provide a safe, child-friendly environment.
  • Coordinate transport arrangements where required to ensure access to sessions.
  • Collate and distribute referral information and reports to practitioners and senior leaders.
  • Monitor expenditure and provide budget information to support financial management.
